Why I chose to take the leap with LimeLife

Those of you who know me know that I'm a pretty simple girl. I don't pay a whole lot of attention to beauty trends and I like to keep things quick and easy. So, even though I had been following Abby and her story with LimeLife for a while, I was a little apprehensive when she reached out about an opportunity with the company as a Beauty Guide. I was like, "Beauty Guide?? That doesn't sound quite like me." However, it only took her explaining the mission behind LimeLife for a couple minutes for me to completely rethink my quick judgement.

LimeLife is about SO much more than a beauty and skincare routine. It's a group of men and women whose main goal, first and foremost, is boosting the self-confidence of those around them. She added me to several groups on Facebook and within minutes (seconds, probably) there were comments flowing in, welcoming me and congratulating me on this new path.

I am not changing who I am with this new venture. I can pretty much guarantee that I will not be a makeup artist anytime soon. My mission is to boost the confidence of the women around me. Encourage them to embrace and enhance their natural beauty through an amazing skincare routine and professional makeup products...NOT cover it up. Now, as I mentioned on Insta, I haven't been able to test their products quite yet (though I started using One Drop Wonder about a week ago and so far I'm loving it), but from what I've heard and seen, they are amazing.

I have been a Covergirl/Maybelline/e.l.f. girl from the beginning. I have literally never had professional makeup on my face. So, I will know pretty quickly if it's worth the extra $$$ or not and I will let ya'll know what I truly think. Really, what I'm most excited about (outside of the amazing group of women I'll get to interact with) is the skincare routine. I struggle with extremely dry skin and am always looking for products to help keep that at bay. So far, I haven't come across any that completely WOW me (outside of One Drop Wonder), so I cannot wait to see what else LimeLife has to offer to keep my skin looking healthy.

Outside of providing improved skincare and encouraging women to embrace and enhance their natural beauty, my goal is to create some quick and easy looks for you all. For those mornings (pretty much every morning for me) when you seem to be rushing out the door. Quick, easy, to the point...that's what I strive for. Looks that don't just pack on the makeup and make you look like you just got done with a photoshoot. Instead, I want to provide inspiration for looks that truly bring out your natural beauty; light and airy looks.
