In order to ensure that our days (and weeks) go as we plan and hope they will, it's important to start off each day with a good mindset. Now I totally understand that this is much easier said than done, but I promise you, if you give it a wholehearted shot, you won't be disappointed with the results. So, here's what I have (only recently) started to do to give myself the best shot at having an amazing day, each and every day:
1. Morning skincare routine - shout out to LimeLife by Alcone
2. Take a women's multivitamin - I take Vitafusion Women's Gummy Vitamins
3. Sit in a quiet space and relax for at least 3 minutes - I started using the Headspace app on my phone. There's a beginners course you can take to get a feel for meditation before purchasing the upgrade. Using this app really helps me focus in on my body and clear my head of all the clutter. I've also heard the Calm app is another good one for help with sleeplessness and stress/anxiety.
4. Drink an entire 16 ounces of water (or more)
5. Listen to an episode of Naked on Cashmere
6. Stand for at least 10 minutes the first hour of your workday; it'll help you continue this trend for the rest of your workday
7. Eat at least one whole serving of fruit with your breakfast (I usually go with a banana for digestive regularity)
Sticking to this routine (especially the 3+ minutes of quiet time) has really helped to improve my daily mindset and how I approach each situation that comes up throughout my day. It may seem silly at first. You may think, "I really don't have time for this". But I promise you that starting your day off in the right headspace is the key to having the best day you could possibly have. If you start the day off angry, stressed, overwhelmed, etc. and don't try to correct it first thing, you'll continue in that headspace for the rest of your day. We have to start making ourselves a priority, first and foremost. Speaking to all you moms out there! I know I have zero experience in the area, but I know women who do. And all of them say that if you take just 10-15 minutes to yourself each and every morning, you'll feel SO much better. If that means you have to get up 10-15 minutes earlier, do it. Again, easier said than done, but I really encourage all of you to give it a shot. Do it for one week straight and see how much better you feel.
If you all have a routine that helps you maintain a healthy lifestyle each and every day, please let us know in the comments! As I expand upon this routine, I'll be sure to share with you guys.
