Empowering yourself & others

This one is going to be pretty short and sweet for ya'll, but I wanted to get this message out there. So here goes...

For those of you who don't know, I am an Independent Beauty Guide for LimeLife by Alcone. I started this journey because a friend of mine really believed that my mission for Unapologetically Blog really coincided with LimeLife's deep, inner mission. I was a bit skeptical at first. Like, how does a beauty and skincare company coincide with my mission to encourage women to be 100% and unapologetically themselves? Well, it didn't take many conversations with her to understand what she was talking about.

LimeLife is ALL about building women up; instilling confidence within them and making them believe in themselves. One of the many ways they do this is through the Brighter Together Foundation. Brighter Together's mission is this:

to turn inspiration into action through community, collaboration and empowerment.

We are braver together. We are stronger together. We are brighter together.

I'll share the link to learn more about the Brighter Together Foundation here, but here's the gist of what they do: they provide comprehensive knowledge, training, and guidance to women to start and build their own successful businesses. These are women living in some of the most impoverished societies in the world. They have helped over 13,000 women since becoming established in 2017. That is INCREDIBLE.

Outside of Brighter Together, it is BLATANTLY obvious how willing and open the women I've met through this process are to help develop YOUR success. I'm constantly receiving notes of encouragement; of women expressing how moved they are by my messages. No one is ever pushing me to be something I'm not and I LOVE that. This is my journey, my path to growth. And all the women are so incredibly supportive of that journey.

While I haven't met many of these women in person, they are all a source of empowerment for me. They all inspire me to be a better version of myself, every day. I have learned to be more encouraging of women and all they aspire to be, because of my journey with LimeLife. I've always wanted to push women to be 100% themselves; to be confident in that. But I've never been very good at coming up with those words of encouragement. Seeing and feeling how LimeLifer's (as we like to call them) encourage one another...that has helped me to grow tremendously. And it's helped me to be able to vocalize those words of empowerment to other women.

We all have a role in this world; a purpose. And no matter what that may be, it is NEVER our purpose to bring each other down. Just because someone may live a different life than you or believe different things, doesn't make them any better or worse than yourself. What did Pastor Jeremy say a couple weeks ago? Personalize growth and project grace. Project grace on EVERYONE around you. Not judgement. God, ultimately, gets to pass final judgement...but even He doesn't do that! He is accepting of all things. Live your life projecting grace on those around you. And not in a way of, "I'm better than you, but I'll project grace on you because you need it..." type of way. NO. What is that ACTUALLY? Judgement. And it's not your place.

Approach those around you with encouragement, no matter what they may be going through. Empower them to be the best version of themselves and to follow their purpose.

That's it! That's my message for today. :). I was feeling a pull to get this out there, especially when I received LimeLife's March Inspiration Guide in my inbox and all it talked about was female empowerment, growth, self-worth and authenticity...AKA!!!...my ultimate goal with Unapologetically Blog.
